In partnership with the Wallingford YMCA, RISE (Resilience, Inclusion, Strength, Empowerment) Together is a small group training program for middle school and high school students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder & developmental disabilities and need assistance in gaining their strength & confidence. This inclusive, empowering program focuses on helping participants build physical strength, boost confidence, and develop a sense of community through personalized fitness activities, guided movement, and social-emotional support.
Led by trained instructors with experience in adaptive programming, the classes focus on fun, movement-based activities that support motor skill development, social interaction, and healthy habits. RISE Together meets each student where they are — offering a safe, encouraging space to grow stronger both inside and out. Whether taking their first steps toward movement or working to regain energy and independence, every participant is celebrated for their progress.
Each session includes structured fitness activities, sensory-friendly exercises, and individualized support to meet each child’s unique needs and abilities. Our goal is to promote physical wellness while creating a positive and inclusive space where every child can thrive.
RISE Together is more than just a workout — it's about resilience, connection, and discovering what’s possible when we lift each other up.
